These days so many people are crafting their own diets, searching for the magic combination that encourages strength and vitality every day. We meet so many people who have something on their list of foods to avoid, that we thought it would be fun to share a chatty allergen free breakfast coffee moment with you. You will find the links to the recipes and products we used throughout the text.
First, being a coffee lover doesn’t necessarily mean that you are a little naughty, but in my case, it is true. Anytime I can get away with it, I like cake for breakfast. So I developed a cake that is gluten free, vegan, guilt-free (because who likes guilt anyway) and full of fruit. This is Gluten-Free Vegan Pineapple Banana Cake. To be fair, I used an old-fashioned recipe as the basis for my allergen-free adaptation.
Piled high with chopped pineapple, kiwi and banana, this is a fun and nutritious breakfast. But, let’s face it, what really matters is how does it taste with our morning (or evening) coffee. Awesome!
I like a strong dark roast for breakfast. The truth is, I like a dark roast any time of day. Not everyone does but I can tell you without reservation that a strong, dark coffee (with a little coconut creamer and a touch of agave nectar) is a perfect accompaniment to this “not too sweet” pineapple banana breakfast extravaganza.
I believe that food is our “pre-medicine”, meaning that we should eat foods to which our body responds well, health-giving, life-extending foods. No doubt. But I also know that I won’t continue to eat foods, whether they are good for me or not; if they don’t taste good. So have fun with your food and your coffee (or any beverage you truly love). Drink really good coffee, eat really yummy food, and live a fully satisfying life every day!
